Technical Information
The different types of line rental provided with Indirect Access differ in both the capacity they provide to the customer and the technology used.- Analogue Lines use older analogue technology to provide customers with a line that offers limited call capacity and low call quality. This product has been offered for customers for many years and is therefore by far the most common type of line used today.
Two types of Analogue Line are available - Single Line or Multi Line Auxiliary.
- ISDN2 and ISDN30 Lines use digital technology to provide customers with a line that offers a number of ‘channels’ (2 or 30 respectively) of call capacity and high call quality.
Four different types of ISDN2 Line are available – ISDN2 Standard, ISDN2 System, Business Highway and Home Highway. Two different types of ISDN30 are available – ISDN30e and ISDN30 DASS.
